That’s not nearly the biggest problem with Abrams, yet it’s what everyone’s joking about. He’s not stupid enough to make it look like his version of Star Trek. He is, however, severely lacking vision (at least it appears so). Star Wars VII is gonna be generic Hollywood entertainment without any traits to make it stand out.
shouldn’t the ones in the background be leaping off a cliff or building or something? it’s abrams after all, the leaps off of things is the most vital parts of his stories.

To avoid impossibly high expectations, I’d recommend doing a prequel to the prequel trilogy. Worked for “Star Trek”.
