Dune, Yungbluth Style! – 5

David Lynch established the definitive Baron Harkonnen as a foul, pustulant pig. It was hard to resist going in that direction for my own interpretation, so I let the book guide me. In the Dune novel, the Baron is described as grotesquely fat, but also a man of taste. I decided that I would model him on Henry VIII, with touches of a Caribbean pirate and a Middle Eastern oil sheik. I chose not to hide his suspensor harness under his clothes, but put the burdensome apparatus (complete with hovering "balloons") right on top.

A suitably disgusting Baron Vlad! Is the thick belt his suspensor harness?

JY: I imagine that his harness is the thing around his neck, and the belt is his shield generator.
