I’m not sure which is more terrifying, the state our country would be in with 4 more years of Trump, or the knowledge that with him in power the Ukrainian people are going to be wiped from the Earth and Poland is next
You make a dangerous assumption. Once Trump is in power with his puppets holding all the jey positions in power, what is there to stop him from suspending the Constitution, declaring himself monarch, I’m thinking Emperor since that is bigger than King, and then appointing one of his children as the next Emperor to succeed him to the throne? I don’t think the U.S. will survive as a democratic republic if he wins or steals this election.
JY: What is to prevent any president from doing these things? Only the law.
I’m not rooting for Trump, only pointing out that once again the Dems are playing Russian Roulette with all our lives out of arrogance. And if they fail us again, will you finally wake up and see that they are the real problem?
Jason, monster typo: You’ve pasted the whole article into Medium twice, just scroll down to see everything repeated.
As for the article, I hope you are wrong. I predict that by the end of a second Trump presidency, ever Palestinian in the West Bank and Gaza will be dead.
JY: Thanks for the catch! I always paste a draft below my final edits so I have a copy of the parts that I cut. I must have forgotten to delete it!
I don’t think a Kamala presidency will serve the Palestinians much better. Look at all they have suffered under kind old Mr. Biden. But a Trump regime will at least put all the blame on his shoulders and make pushing back easier.
But foreign policy and functional democracy have little influence on most US voters, next to money.
I wonder if Americans will ever figure out who Trump is, once he is fully unleashed on them by Project 2025? Will he fix their economic problems? If Americans are laying in alleyways eating their own legs, can Trump media still convince them they’re being served filet mignon in a mansion?
The only hope left is that he will start fucking up, massively, as early as possible.
“Behind every rise of fascism is a failed revolution.” (Walter Benjamin) The failed revolution in this case being the Democrat’s embrace of center-right donors over their own base.
unfortunately Trump is the first president who believes the law doesn’t apply to him, and that he can ignore it with impunity. And so far, thanks to the judges he appointed he’s right.
I’m a Canadian and unfortunately i feel like a Jewish Pole watching Hitler rising to power in Germany in the 1930’s. Powerless to do anything to stop what i can see happening and knowing that I’m going to get destroyed along with my country while some fools welcome him with open arms as a liberater.
I’m praying the Democrats get their shit together and save the United States but I think they dithered for too long.

You may be right, but Miriam Adelson would disagree. She could have saved a lot of money if she thought it made no difference.

I wish I could get excited about politics. For me, it’s like inheriting yer Grandmother’s Ford Tempo…
