This might sound weird, but the skull flying around makes me think of like a bizarro-universe version of the angel/demon baby that possessed the Preacher in that comic book series.
I just figured it out – that skull monster erupted from the cauldron after they killed Spook. So, this is WB’s version of that cloud spirit with the big nose that occasionally comes out of the cauldron to make deadpan remarks to the Wizard.
Parody can be a very interesting thing. When we like a character in a setting like this, do we like it because we like how they were changed? Or do we like how, despite the radical changes, there are still parts of them that we recognize? Or do some of the characters (Chuck in particular) take on an identity of their own that we can like completely independent of where they came from and what they’ve become?
Oops. Getting too cerebral. Uhhh… RIP OFF HIS BACK MOLAR AND SHOVE IT IN HIS EYE SOCKET CHUCK HECK YEAH. RRRRRRRRR.
Nonsense. One of them is a conglomerate of evil and twisted characters bent on sucking what little life there is left in a collapsing world. The other are just the guys who developed Weapon Brown.
Late comment here, but I’m working my way back. I’ll have to grant the two homeless folk, but I can’t help wondering if the little critter they’re fighting over is Flook
Just thinkin’ that X and his brother had to drag Chuck’s ass through that building and down the stairs to get to their Get Smart elevator. No wonder he’s always pissed!
When will this pursuit end?
I spy with my little eye those two homeless people who appear in “Doonesbury.”
And I beat everyone else to it! 8P
I want this thing to star in its own spin-off.
Weapon Brown is being held in a vault inside an IRS building?
Guess they don’t need to keep files there anymore.
By the way, I’d love to see those cityscapes in 3D.

I don’t think that’s Weapon Brown…

Dang,meant tuesday Dx.
Just to show that I’m a badass and a rebel like Chuck, I’ll read next weeks comic on Wednesday and Saturday. Yeah, it’s a gift.
What would be kept in a vault in the IRS basement? Hmm… Tax collector souls?
Tax Collectors don’t have souls … Silly Baughbe that’s just an Urban Myth like congressional mutual consensus and meaningful Debates….
For some odd reason I thought the Syndicate was the IRS. They acted the same.

Is that Cerebrus that Alice and Elmont are fighting over?
JY: ACH! I should have put it in a tag! That’s not Cerebus, but I’ve forgotten who it is!
