Y’know, I just realized that being strip 150, there wasn’t just a wee bit of celebration…..understandably since you are busy and all but I say congrats anyway, sir 🙂

@Punx
I shouldn’t have to go trawling for gratitude at 150! You should all be sending Target gift cards to my PO box!

@JY: No mention was mentioned of you having to trawl for it, I just noticed no one else had mentioned it, and gave you my gratitude, as I felt it was another milestone reached, with the likelihood that strip #200 may be the end of this particular saga……

Woo! 200 strips! Not that I’m showing off or anything…
———————————————————————————————————–
Punx- I cannot celebrate my 200th strip, or any strip hereafter, since they are all a testament to my poor planning skills. BLOCKHEAD’S WAR WAS SUPPOSED TO BE 48 PAGES LONG GODDAMMIT!!!!>:( >:( ARRRGH@$*!!&!!!!!
“I’m afraid… he didn’t make it, son.” If I’m not mistaken, that line is from the “Calvin & Hobbes” story arc in which Calvin finds a baby raccoon who’s in bad shape, and he and his parents take care of it. Am I right, JY?
@S_W: I do believe you are correct…now that you mentioned it, I sort of replay the story in my mind, and yes, I do think that is the line, which is one of the few times in C&H that “reality” ever intruded on their world 🙁
@Pamlicojack – Exactly. Remember the last panel in 198, when CAL said he loved surprises and HOBS was under a pack or something. Since CAL is leading the first wave and left HOBS topside, he knows what happened.
Honestly, Captain Preppy survived a lot longer than I though he would. But, then, five seconds was about three seconds longer than I expected.
Oh, and this seems to work exactly backwards to C&H. Instead of only coming to life when he was alone with Calvin, HOBS only comes alive when he’s without CAL-V1n.
“where” not “were” … poor Captain Prepe.
Well, as this is #200, I guess it counts that Cal and Chuck are on the same page, if not expressly in the same panel. XD It’s progress.
Congratulations on 200 strips.
I’ve been reading this for 200 pages. Oh I need a life. Congrats on the big 200 JY.

Thanks, I suppose 🙂

well, with the constant delays and battles with COD or whatever game caught your eye, how could you expect to keep to a 48 page plan?
Oh CAL, you lovable scamp!
I await the arrival of some satisfyingly creative, bloody, psychopathic and disturbing CAL carnage.
200? party time!

— Captcha “had exemelk”, and he wants it back.

“Afraid he didn’t make it” – Could that be a reference that Cal left Hobbs topside?
@Pamlicojack – Exactly. Remember the last panel in 198, when CAL said he loved surprises and HOBS was under a pack or something. Since CAL is leading the first wave and left HOBS topside, he knows what happened.
It’s not the exact quote from the Racoon Story, but it captures the spirit of it pretty well: http://wintersonata13.wordpress.com/2008/10/05/calvin-and-hobbes-the-racoon-story/
Huh, I figured CAL or HOBS killed Prepe off screen.
@Gus – Exactly. CAL knew Prepé had the code words since he used one on him earlier (Asswipe? Zit? Something like that.) After CAL’s brain fought through that one (the “Alien Prepé” thing) he knew it was a matter of time before others got used on him. Since he couldn’t take care of the problem, he had HOBS do it.
JY – this is the best comic (WB) ever. hands down. Keep up the amazingly awesome work!!
More than the Annie/Charlie hook-up, more than Hobbes’ reality, more than what flavor ice cream Snoopy chose; I WANNA SEE CHUCK\S REFURBISHED ARM!!!
“Where aren’t there any?” Chuck’s military mind is his most powerful weapon!
-though I wouldn’t mind having his plaz gun!
Honestly, Captain Preppy survived a lot longer than I though he would. But, then, five seconds was about three seconds longer than I expected.
