So anyone else pick up on how the panels are split up to form a goal post?
If history has shown us anything, Chuck is not going to fare well.
Captcha is being optimistic on the situation though… Command living
Bit late on the party, are we? When we first started this arc, we saw Chuck with a busted robotic arm and hidi- er, making a tactical covert withdrawl to a location away from CAL and HOBBS. This is all flashback right now, though we’re getting close to the point where we first saw chuck in this arc…
Also Captcha seems to hate me. Delta-Mu-Delta-Omega . As in the Greek Alphabet. HOW DO YOU TYPE THAT?!?
@Sherlock_Watson : I’m a huge watterson fan, but I missed the bon voyage reference or the “run for your lives weapon brown” that you suggested. Please explain
@ Dankar: No, not late to the party. I’ve been following from page 1 and I know that this is a flashback sequence. I meant that we will get to see soon what the hell happened to chuck and HOW his arm got tore off. Things don’t look so good for Chuck right now.
Following Captchas suggestion and letting it: Flow ailton
I’m guessing Cal’s weakness is Hobbes. He’s hiding it in plain sight. You fuck with what you know, not what you don’t. And no one WANTS to fuck with a giant mechatiger.
Cal is invincible so long as Hobbes exists, but Hobbes is also likely Calvin’s greatest weapon. So by taking out the only legitimate threat in Chuck, he assures his survival despite risking himself.
Guessing that Snoop kills (or at least wounds) Hobbes, leading to Cal getting scared and going Waco.
@lkjsdflkj: I was referencing the movie “Race for Your Life, Charlie Brown” (1977). This strip made a reference to “Bon Voyage, Charlie Brown (and Don’t Come Back!!)” (1980).
“There’s one sure way to beat CAL: Trap him in a cardboard box!”
Wouldn’t that just either transmorgify him, duplicate him, or make him travel through time? Unless those only occur in his own mind and not reality? It would be potentially hilarious (and terrifying) to see him romping around like a T-Rex while in human form.
So what? He was stroking himself all that time? Cal is a creepazoïd.
My captcha seems to be uniciste free. Thats good, I’m allergic to that.
There’s one sure way to beat CAL: Trap him in a cardboard box!
BTW, loved the “Bon Voyage” line, though a better one might have been “Run for your life, Weapon Brown!”
— Captcha wanted a genuine Thorstein pleyba, but had to settle for a generic one.
Not entirely sure, but if that’s in his head, did he eat all those children himself?

Tyger Tyger, burning bright,
In the forests of the night:
What immortal hand or eye,
Could frame thy fearful symmetry?
In what distant deeps or skies,
Burnt the fire of thine eyes?
On what wings dare he aspire?
What the hand, dare sieze the fire?
And what shoulder, & what art,
Could twist the sinews of thy heart?
And when thy heart began to beat,
What dread hand? & what dread feet?
What the hammer? what the chain?
In what furnace was thy brain?
What the anvil? what dread grasp,
Dare its deadly terrors clasp!
When the stars threw down their spears
And water’d heaven with their tears:
Did he smile his work to see?
Did he who made the Lamb make thee?
Tyger Tyger, burning bright,
In the forests of the night:
What immortal hand or eye,
Dare frame thy fearful symmetry?
cue Snoop
and hurry up
like how Hobbs and Calv1n are one in the same in a sense.

It’s not a Watterson reference. It’s a Schultz reference- Bon Voyage Charlie Brown (And Don’t Come Back) is a Peanuts film made in the 1980’s.

@Destruya sounds pretty plausible. Though I suppose there still could be a reference to Calvin and Hobbes constant bickering. At some point.
Enough of all this speculation! It’s Monday, where’s the new comic!?!
I think JY is in mourning for Bin Laden…

CAL’s getting smart settin’ the tiger on Chuck. Oh, I like the inclusion of the famous poem by “fuzzy”; it’s better than mine:
Tiger, tiger, burning bright.
Stopped an incendiary rocket’s flight. (ya listening, Chuck?)
DanielBT, wait for it…
